    Business Context

In early 2024, AI shifted from an emerging topic to the dominant conversation in enterprise technology. Every business evaluating or already using ERP software was asking the same question: how does AI fit into what we are already running? For Arkana, an Odoo Gold Partner with 200+ clients and deep ERP implementation experience, this moment represented a specific opportunity: to position itself ahead of the curve as the partner who could answer that question with both existing capability and a credible forward plan.

Odoo itself was actively integrating AI features into its platform across sales, finance, HR, and operations. The landing page was built to make those capabilities visible and accessible, both to existing Arkana and Odoo clients who needed to understand what AI features were already available to them, and to new prospects for whom AI integration was becoming a requirement in any ERP evaluation.

    Problem

Arkana's AI capabilities within Odoo were real and already deployed, but invisible. Without a dedicated page, a prospect or existing client asking "can your system use AI?" had no single place to find a clear, visual answer. In a market where AI credibility was becoming a competitive differentiator among Odoo partners, the absence of a visible AI positioning was itself a liability.

The design challenge was credibility under scrutiny. AI is a category where vague claims are common and skepticism is high. A page that simply said "we use AI" would register as marketing noise. The page needed to do something harder: show specifically what AI does inside Odoo, how it works at a functional level, and what Arkana's concrete plan for expanding that capability looks like, with dates attached.

The secondary challenge was audience breadth. Existing Odoo clients reading the page already understand ERP terminology and want functional specifics. New prospects may be encountering Odoo and AI simultaneously and need enough context to understand why the combination is relevant to their business. Both needed to leave the page with a clear answer to their question and a clear next action.

    Goal

Design a landing page that establishes Arkana's AI credibility within the Odoo ecosystem — not through claims, but through specific, illustrated capability demonstration and a publicly committed roadmap, and drives contact form submissions from both existing clients and new prospects.

The visual language needed to communicate AI as a primary subject immediately and unmistakably, without abandoning Arkana's brand identity. The information architecture needed to answer two sequential questions every visitor brings: what can it do right now, and what is coming next? The page needed to function as a credibility asset that the sales team could point prospects to, and as an inbound lead generation surface in its own right.

    Developing Design Decision

The gradient hero — brand extension, not generic AI aesthetic
The dark, luminous gradient of the hero section, deep navy shifting through purple into electric blue, was not adopted from a generic AI visual trend. It was derived directly from Arkana's own logo gradient, amplified in saturation and darkness to occupy the visual register that globally signals AI technology. This was a deliberate brand extension decision: taking an existing brand element and pushing it into a new emotional territory without breaking brand continuity. The result communicates AI credibility while remaining unmistakably Arkana, a page that could not be mistaken for a competitor's.

The mini UI flow illustrations — showing the mechanism, not just the outcome
Each of the five AI capability cards features a custom illustration built to show how the feature works in practice — not just what it is called. Expense → Report. Invoice → Bank Statement. Resume → Matched Candidate. These were made specifically for this page, with AI used as a brainstorming partner during the ideation phase and manual execution applied throughout. The decision to illustrate the functional flow rather than use abstract icons was deliberate: for an audience of ERP professionals, showing the system interaction is more persuasive than labeling a capability. It proves the feature is real and operational, not conceptual.

The public roadmap — a strategic commitment, not a feature list
The decision to publish a roadmap with specific estimated delivery quarters, Q3 2025 through Q3 2026, came directly from Arkana's Director. The business rationale: in a market where AI claims are abundant and evidence is scarce, a named, dated roadmap signals that Arkana is not reacting to an AI trend but operating from a plan. For a prospect evaluating ERP partners on a multi-year horizon, a partner who can show what their AI roadmap looks like in 2026 is a materially different proposition than one who cannot. The design executed this as a consistent card structure — feature name, one-line description, illustrated preview, delivery quarter — giving the roadmap the same visual weight as the current capabilities section, reinforcing that planned features carry the same level of commitment as live ones.

    Wrap Up

This landing page was built at a specific market moment, AI moving from emerging to expected in enterprise technology, and its purpose was to ensure Arkana was visible and credible in that conversation before the question became unavoidable. The design's job was not to describe AI in general terms but to show Arkana's specific, functional, and forward-committed position within it.

The most consequential decision was illustration over abstraction. Feature cards that show a UI flow, how an invoice becomes a reconciled bank statement through AI, communicate proof of capability in a way that labels and icons cannot. For an audience of ERP professionals, seeing the mechanism is the argument.
The visual language, gradient derived from Arkana's own brand, amplified into AI territory, kept the page anchored in Arkana's identity while signaling a new capability domain. It was not borrowed from a trend. It was extended from what Arkana already owned.

Contact form conversion from the page is the primary success metric. The broader signal, Arkana's positioning as an AI-ready Odoo partner, is measured by whether this page becomes the reference point a sales team sends to prospects asking about AI, and whether it earns unprompted inbound from prospects who found it without being directed there.

This case study proves the ability to design for a specific market timing window, where the design itself is part of a business positioning move, not just a communication of one.
